There are four ways that you and your clients can work with our approved credit counseling agency to start the pre-petition bankruptcy counseling and obtain a completion certificate. They are:

  1. You can use our state-of-the-art bankruptcy management system to register clients from your law office. Once registered, your clients can call us from your office or from their home to perform the pre-petition bankruptcy counseling.   2. You and your clients can call credit.org together from your law office. When you call in, a counselor will speak to your client and register them into our management system so they can begin the pre-petition bankruptcy counseling. Once registered, the pre-petition bankruptcy counseling can begin.
  3. Your clients can call credit.org from their home or place of business. When they call in, a counselor will speak to them and register them into our management system so they can begin the pre-petition bankruptcy counseling. Once registered, the pre-petition bankruptcy counseling can begin.
  4. Your clients can log onto www.bkhelp.org from any computer and complete their pre-petition bankruptcy counseling, then call in for a brief review of the online course with one of our certified counselors from their home, place of business or even your office.

If your client doesn’t have time to begin the counseling session immediately, then simply have them call back during business hours, Monday – Friday 7am-7pm PST. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.

*Approval by the EOUST to issue bankruptcy certificates evidences completion of a budget and credit counseling and debtor education course in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. EOUST approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency’s service.
**The EOUST has reviewed only the Agency’s counseling/instructional services and no other services the Agency may provide [28 C.F.R. section 58.20(l)(11)].
***The Agency may disclose client information to the United States Trustee in connection with the United States Trustee’s oversight of the agency, or during the investigation of complaints, during on-site visits, or during quality of service reviews.
